Jun 26, 2026

We are pleased to announce the second cohort of the Arctic Indigenous Exchange Program (AIEP) is open and accepting applications until August 1!  This exchange aims to strengthen people-to-people relationships, advance cooperation, and foster greater cultural and commercial ties among Arctic Indigenous populations.  The program was created under the Biden administration, through the U.S. State Department. Community members, leaders, and professionals, from Arctic and Sub-Arctic regions of Alaska, Canada, and Greenland (30+ years of age) are invited to apply. The cohort will be announced in August 2026, with programming running September – November 2026, and there will be a community-based workshop in Inuvik, Canada. The program focuses on Harvest Economy, rooted in food gathering, land stewardship, and cultural practice relating to economic development opportunities and community resilience.
